Interns/Specialists are individuals with specific skills that desire to work with Care for Life either in the USA for a specific project. Time commitment will be 1 to 3 months depending on their specific project.
There are many types of internships available: Accounting, Business, Education, Marketing, NGO Management, IT, Computer Technology, Grant Writing, Data Analysis, Human Resources, Photographer, Videographer, and others. If your area of expertise is not listed on the www.careforlife.org please describe your skills below and a Care for Life staff member may coordinate other possible internships with you.
There will be a personal or phone interview before being accepted as an intern/specialist with Care for Life.

Research potential foundation and other grant opportunities. Work with partner grant writer.
SKILL SET: Grant writing experience or grant research experience or understanding. |
| Varied | Program Development | Curriculum Development in Economics (small businesses and micro-loans); Construction; and Development of Recereational, Educational, and Cultural Activities for Children for Physical and Emotional Development (plays, music, games stories, etc…) | PROJECT: Need to be fluent in Portuguese. Create a booklet for teaching and training in the above listed areas. Booklets will be used by individuals, who are illiterate, therefore, information needs to be mostly pictorial.
SKILL SET: Education and experience in the above listed areas. Need MATERIALS NEEDED: Computer and program for illustration |
| 3 Months | Fundraising | Assistant Development Director | PROJECT: Assist Development Director with fundraising, events, marketing materials, donor recognition, annual reports, annual pictorials, etc…
SKILL SET: Fundraising skills and experience, Microsoft Office skills, donor recognition and cultivation, event planning experience. |
| 3 Months | Analysis | Graphing and Analyzing Data | PROJECT: Assist President of Care for Life in creating utility metrics for measuring key objectives. Also, create graphs and charts for analyzing organizations data.
SKILL SET: Excel knowledge and experience in data analysis. |
