Thank you for your interest in wanting to serve the people in Mozambique who live in the most extreme poverty. This is an opportunity to gain greater insight into what you have to offer the world. Most people in Mozambique work very hard to sustain their lives, but have very little opportunity to improve their standard of living. The skills and insight you bring to these people will help them make advancements toward meeting their goal of self-sufficiency. As a member of a Care for Life project team you will have the opportunity to work with a group of like-minded individuals to develop and complete projects that you will be proud of. You will see the difference that you have made in the lives of the impoverished villages of Mozambique, and you will develop a bond with your teammates as you work together to serve these humble people.
If you feel nervous about your ability to develop and carry out projects in Mozambique, don’t worry, the Care for Life staff will work with you closely to make sure you are successful in carrying out your desired project. Our staff will help you determine the length of time that will be necessary for completion of your project and give you all the necessary guidelines and information. As you look through the list of possible projects on the PROJECTS FOR 2013 page you can determine what area you are interested in and then work with the Care for Life staff to determine the best fit for you.
In addition to working on your team project, your team will have the opportunity to help in several local orphanages, go on a safari at Gorongosa Wild Animal Park, and participate in other cultural activities while in Mozambique.
