Internship in Mozambique

Care for Life has need of the following internship positions in Mozambique, Africa:

We are looking for self-starters and people who work well independently and in group settings.

Applicants must be fluent in Portuguese. The Care for Life’s Family Preservation Program is designed to assess the needs of the poorest individuals in a community and then provide instruction and classes to help educate them so that they may begin to recognize and solve their own problems.

We have need of interns who can work on the following projects:

TIME COMMITMENT	AREA	VOLUNTEER JOB TITLE	VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION
As needed		Translation and Editing Position	We are looking for a Portuguese speaker to assist in translating and editing our main curriculum on health, sanitation, nutrition from Portuguese into English. The project will be under the direction of Joao Bueno, Care for Life’s Program Development Director
1–3 months in Mozambique		Journalism	We are looking for a skilled writer to collect and write stories about the people in our villages. Portuguese speaker required.
2 months in Mozambique		Analytical Reporting	We are looking for a Portuguese speaker to conduct exit surveys at two of our villages (Inhamizua and Casa Banana).
2 months (between May and July)	Public Health	Press	We are looking for a Portuguese speaker to compile, edit and analyze data for the Health manual.
2-4 weeks in Mozambique	IT	IT Expert	We are looking for an IT expert to train staff in Mozambique. Portuguese speaker preferred.
2 months in Mozambique	HR	HR Specialist	We are looking for an HR specialist to train new staff and develop an Employee incentive program. Portuguese spreaker preferred.

2 weeks – in Mozambique	MKT	Photographer	We are looking for professional photographers who can spend 2 weeks or more in Mozambique. The responsibility of a photographer is to visit the communities and take pictures for marketing and website purposes. This volunteer position would work very closely with the Marketing Director. Portuguese speaker preferred.
2–4 weeks in Mozambique	MKT	Videographer	We are looking for professional videographer who can spend 2 weeks to a month in Mozambique filming families and the life in the villages. The responsibility of a videographer is to visit the villages and film specific segments for marketing and website purposes. This volunteer position would work very closely with the Marketing Director. Portuguese speaker required.
